The HTML Email Developer will work with Scalero’s team to ensure its clients’ email HTML needs are being met. We’re looking for someone who can take direction from written briefs and convert them into clean HTML code. A successful candidate should have a good understanding of how email marketing works, particularly with respect to HTML, and be able to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and coordinate with Scalero’s staff, which is based in the US, Europe and Mexico.
- Coordinate with Scalero’s email HTML developers and help improve our workflows and code practices.
- Be fast and responsive to clients and teammates’ requests with a positive attitude.
- Join client calls to gather direct feedback, understand their needs, and explain project updates or technical concepts in simple terms.
- Clearly articulate technical and non-technical details to clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding.
Qualifications
- Solid experience and knowledge working with HTML and CSS.
- You’ve built websites with HTML and CSS, or you already have a background in email HTML development.
- Experience with templating frameworks like Jinja, Handlebars, Liquid, or others.
- Ability to communicate technical terms in an accessible and relatable way to clients and team members.
- Comfortable joining client meetings and collecting actionable feedback to improve project outcomes.
- A hard-working and independent mentality–we are a small but growing team, and we need everybody to help move the company forward.
- Solid communication skills in English over Slack, Notion, and email with the US team and clients. Speaking in Spanish with the rest of the team in Mexico is preferred.
Bonus Skills
Experience and knowledge working with design tools like Photoshop, Figma, Marvel, Avocode, Sketch, or others. You can request the right design specifications you need for HTML development.
Experience working with QA tools like Browser Stack, Litmus, or Email on Acid, and the ability to troubleshoot rendering challenges on your own.
Familiarity with email service providers like Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, and more.
