About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Assistant Director of Human Resource Services - Employee Relations to support and help lead our employee relations efforts. This individual will assist in managing the employee investigation process, support compliance with HR policies, and enhance performance management practices across the district.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations & Investigations: Lead and assist with investigations related to employee misconduct, policy violations, and workplace issues, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Policy & Compliance Support: Guide campus and department leaders in HR procedures aligned with Board policy and legal standards.
  • Employee Support: Provide objective, confidential support to employees and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
  • Documentation & Case Management: Develop and maintain accurate investigation reports, documentation, and tracking systems.
  • Performance Management: Support due process matters, review employee documentation, and lead training sessions on performance and employee relations topics.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across departments, offer strategic guidance, and promote consistency in HR practices.
  • Leadership: Provide direction and performance input to assigned HR staff, encouraging a high-performing and collaborative team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and applicable laws and policies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidential records and using HR systems.
