Job Overview:
The HRIS Coordinator and Benefits Administrator is responsible for managing and analyzing employee data within an HR Information System (HRIS), while also administering employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate data entry, timely processing of benefit changes, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits options. In addition, this role will be responsible for processing payroll for US based employees and will support any project work associated with our payroll process.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Process new hire benefit enrollments and manage changes to existing employee benefits plans.
- Communicate benefit information to employees through various channels, including new hire orientations and company intranet.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits eligibility, coverage options, and claims processing.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employee benefits.
Payroll:
- Process payroll for US based employees (approximately 125 employees) using Dayforce.
- Knowledge of Payroll Regulations; including federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Support and lead projects relating to payroll process changes and system upgrades.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
HRIS Data Management:
- Maintain and update employee data within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all modules including personal information, employment details, benefits enrollment, and performance reviews.
- Conduct data audits to identify and resolve inconsistencies or errors in employee data.
- Generate reports and dashboards from the HRIS to provide insights on workforce analytics, staffing trends, and employee demographics.
System Administration:
- Configure and maintain HRIS system settings, including security access levels and system updates.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot technical issues related to the HRIS system.
- Identify opportunities to improve system functionality and implement new features to streamline HR processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Develop custom reports and data visualizations to track key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and benefits utilization.
- Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights into HR leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations related to employee benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate records for benefit plan audits and compliance reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience with HRIS systems (i.e., Dayforce, Workday, ADP, UltiPro)
- Prior experience in processing and managing payroll cycles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and identify trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Knowledge of employee benefits plans including health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts
- Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations related to benefits administration
