Salary: Competitive

Location: Hybrid working based at our Accrington or Daventry office

Contract: 6-month fixed term contract

The role of an HR System Implementation Project Manager

The role will involve leading the end-to-end implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) across National Care Group. Reporting to the Chief People Officer this role will ensure the delivery of the project on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining strong engagement with key stakeholders.

It Will Include

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of the HR system implementation project.
  • Work alongside the IT Project Manager to develop and maintain project documentation including scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and budgets.
  • Ensure project governance is adhered to and all deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Act as the central liaison between People & Culture, IT, Finance, external vendors, and end-users.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and updates for senior leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Translate technical language into understandable communication for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Oversee system configuration, testing (e.g. UAT), data migration, and integrations with other platforms (e.g. payroll, time & attendance, learning systems).
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, define workflows, and customise features as required including building standard reporting and dashboards.
  • Support the development and delivery of a change management strategy including stakeholder engagement, training plans, and adoption metrics.
  • Champion best practices and promote a user-focused approach to implementation.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual with ongoing support plans, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

What qualities do you need?

We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in managing HRIS or enterprise software implementations (e.g. Workday, iTrent, Oracle HCM, BambooHR, Sona).
  • Strong understanding of HR/People processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Solid project management skills – ideally Prince2, PMP or equivalent.
  • Experience with data migration, system testing, and integration processes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in working with project management systems such as Monday.com.
