More details on our benefits can be found on our website at https://www.itw.com/careers/benefits-compensation/ Position Summary In this interactive role, the HR Operations Specialist will be actively involved in supporting enterprise HR services and systems (such as the employee portal), coordinating, creating, and publishing HR resources, tools, and communication materials as well as responding to inquiries from global division/business HR professionals or employees/former employees who need assistance from corporate HR and providing proactive outreach to HR on a variety of topics. Key Responsibilities * HR Services for Current and Former Employees * Responsible for administration and managing escalated inquiries of company-sponsored programs (e.g., service awards, outplacement, etc.). * Designated corporate HR liaison to partner with division, corporate IT, and corporate HR to manage, resolve and communicate any fraudulent activity reports. * Provide exceptional, timely assistance (both phone, tickets or email) to current/former employees on a variety of HR topics and/or appropriately refer them to applicable service providers for support. * Support HR Professionals * Develop, maintain and communicate HR tools and resources, such as: * Compile, edit, and publish articles received from corporate HR functions for weekly newsletter to HR professionals. Create articles for the HR Operations department. * Coordinate and host monthly calls with HR professionals (assemble and edit PowerPoint slides), arrange logistics, facilitate/moderate calls) and serve as a lead presenter for select topics. * Coordinate, facilitate and also serve as a lead presenter for select HR onboarding sessions held for new HR professionals. * Respond to inquiries from HR professionals and provide efficient resolution or a referral to the appropriate vendor or function. * HR Technology (main priorities Employee Portal and Case Management System) * Employee Portal * Format and maintain content, design and create new pages, trouble shoot and resolve any employee portal issues. * Consult with Corporate HR CoE leaders on objectives for the portal to ensure pages are built and maintained accordingly. * Partner with vendors to ensure single sign-on connections from the employee portal are created and working as expected to various third-party vendors (e.g., payroll, benefit providers, and ITW's HR Information System). Trouble shoot any identified issues and ensure a successful resolution. * Case Management System: * Proactively manage, resolve, and maintain tickets and calls in the HR case management system to resolution and provide analytics and insight on inquiries to inform continuous improvement and process simplification opportunities. * Collaborate with other HR CoEs to support their various initiatives. * Manage outside council client portal for global HR colleagues * Coordinate compliance training for Employee Relations * Support HR acquisition and divestiture projects with focus on data analysis and communication resources. * Participate in special projects, as assigned. Desired Skills and Experience * Associate or bachelor's degree. * 2 - 3 years of experience; highly preferred in human resources. * Highly customer service focused with strong verbal and written communication skills. * Takes initiative and follows through. * Attention to detail and ability to problem solve. * Experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom. * Comfortable with presenting over Teams/Zoom to groups ranging from 10 to 200 colleagues. * Ability to collaborate and build good working relationships cross-functionally. * Intermediate level Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. * Experience working with a case management system and Canva a plus. Compensation Information: * The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $80K - $90K annually.
