Posting Description

HR OPERATIONS AND VISA COORDINATOR, Sloan Human Resources , will ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions, including but not limited to employee pay changes, terminations, job posting, payroll adjustments, etc. while maintaining employee records; proactively review HR transactions, including term appointments & temporary increases to verify status; support and monitor HR workflows, including Service Now requests to ensure accurate systems of record and reporting capabilities; interpret, advise, and provide information on general HR operations and processes and MIT/Sloan personnel policies and procedures; investigate and resolve payroll issues; lead, manage and prepare all required materials for visa processing; stay up to date with changes in immigration laws and regulations and ensure school compliance; work with leadership to determine and coordinate relevant training for international processes; and be a principle liaison with the MIT International Scholar’s Office / International Students Office.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years of HR or related experience; sensitivity to organizational dynamics and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels; discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; working familiarity with federal and state employment laws and HR principles; robust knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP or similar systems and reporting software tools; robust organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment; to work proactively, independently, and cross-functionally; and excellent communications (speaking, listening, writing), client service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Salary range: $58,450 - $76,948- $$95,445, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
