This internship will assist with the Human Resources efforts of Miller Pipeline including onboarding, orientation coordinating, interacting with office and field support teams and other HR related projects. The intern will receive industry experience based on the outcomes they hope to achieve from this position.

Interns are expected to be fully engaged and productive while working for Miller Pipeline. To fully take advantage of the internship, being productive will enhance your skills, teach you how to manage your projects, and give you more insight into a real-world working experience. As a business intern, you represent Miller Pipeline as an employee. Your actions affect your own reputation as well as that of Miller Pipeline.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Coordinate pre-employment tasks for onboarding candidates
  • Coordinate orientation dates and safety training with managers, SQC’s and new hire candidates
  • Conduct orientations for new hire candidates
  • Process new hire paperwork and onboard new hires into payroll system
  • Assist in processing active employee changes and terminations
  • Employee Digital File Maintenance
  • I-9 Auditing
  • Ad hoc HR related tasks and special projects

Skills Needed

  • Must be a current university student seeking a Business Degree or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be self-sufficient, a self-starter and ready to learn
  • Willingness and ability to contact and work with employees
  • Ability to take direction and execute accordingly
