Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As our Human Resources Generalist, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting our growing workforce and fostering a positive and productive work environment. You will have the opportunity to wear many hats, contributing to everything from talent acquisition, onboarding and employee relations to benefits administration and HR compliance.   • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing accurate and timely information regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding, ensuring consistent and professional experience for all personnel.
  • Provide support in talent acquisition activities, including the drafting of job descriptions, coordination of interview schedules, and facilitation of candidate communication.
  • Efficiently administer and ensure accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll across multiple states.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, address employee queries related to benefits, and support the annual benefits enrollment process. Contribute to compensation-related administrative tasks.
  • Proactively contributes to positive employee relations by fostering effective communication and addressing employee concerns in a professional and timely manner, consistent with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant labor laws and regulations and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost care, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Organize and facilitate employee engagement committee meetings and drive related initiatives to enhance morale and company culture.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee records and HRIS data, maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
  • Participate in and contribute to human resource projects and initiatives designed to enhance employee experience and support the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Provide support for the performance management and review processes, ensuring smooth execution, clear communication, and alignment with organizational and team goals.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of learning and development programs.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources or People Operations role within a growth-oriented company.
  • Comprehensive understanding of human resource principles, best practices, and relevant employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional support to employees.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in?utilizing HRIS platforms (Paylocity, preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).??
  • SHRM-CP certification is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Normal work hours are 8:30 am through 5:30 pm Monday through Friday EST.
  • Location: Hybrid (Washington, D.C.) 3 days per week

  • Salary commensurate with experience, range for position is $75,000 - $85,000 annual base salary and bonus eligibility.
