Summary

Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Eagan, Minnesota. In this role, you will focus on managing HR-related projects and payroll functions while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented HR expert to contribute to key initiatives and improve processes within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: - Oversee and execute updates to the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with current regulations and company policies. - Manage audits, including workers' compensation and insurance audits, by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders. - Conduct 401(k) compliance testing and ensure adherence to retirement plan regulations. - Review and process monthly union fringes and dues, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Evaluate current payroll and HR processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrections as needed. - Utilize ECMs payroll system and Bird Dog benefits software to manage payroll-related tasks efficiently. - Create and maintain spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes. - Provide support for various HR functions, including benefits administration and compliance management. - Collaborate with internal teams to address miscellaneous payroll and HR-related duties. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR generalist or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of payroll systems, including ECMs, and experience with benefits software such as Bird Dog. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manage detailed spreadsheets. - Familiarity with 401(k) administration and union reporting processes. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage audits and other compliance-related tasks. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively handle HR documentation and employee interactions. - Ability to work onsite in Eagan, Minnesota, and commit to a flexible schedule, including less than 40 hours per week if needed. - Proven ability to manage multiple HR projects and deliver results within deadlines.
