We are currently accepting applications and conducting interviews in advance of upcoming hiring needs. If selected, you will be among the first considered when the position becomes available. This is a great opportunity to get ahead in the process and be ready when the role opens. Prospective candidates will be expected to have knowledge of CA HR Law. Works in accordance with company guidelines, legal counsel, standards, and processes to enhance quality client service and compliance (internal and external) by delivering quality recommendations for high-risk matters. Work will primarily focus on a specific employment law topic and will require subject matter expertise. Responsibilities Work directly with clients on high-risk matters, gathering documents, analyzing information and data, providing recommendations and/or referrals based on facts and documentation. Reviews, audits, and approves/denies recommendations for high-risk client matters. Applicable to any recommendation where an adverse action is supported. Ensures swift and efficient delivery of HR consultative service consistent within the Paychex service model. Sets clear expectations with HRBP(s) and client throughout matter review, analysis, and recommendation. Works closely and regularly with legal counsel by independently identifying high risk issues requiring risk management and mitigation support. Consults and delivers an effective recommendation and word tracks directly to clients for all high-risk matters. This will include the facts considered in the analysis, the application of workforce related rules and laws, consulting and coaching strategies, and a clear outline of the risk(s). At conclusion of high-risk matter consultation, HR Consulting Manager will think strategically about client's opportunities to mitigate the potential for future litigation or claims. Proactively partners with aligned HRBP to share insights and client engagement strategies that meet clients' organizational needs and mitigate risk(s). This will be included as part of the consultation with the client and a follow-up with the HRBP. Lead and deliver subject-matter-specific Learning & Development trainings Engage with relevant internal partners to share client insights/trends Organize and maintain client issue-related documents in Paychex e-filing systems (i.e. Salesforce and Clientspace). Travel may be required on occasion Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or relevant field - Preferred 7 years of experience in Human Resources/Employment Law. PHR/SPHR certification - Preferred HR Services Training Program - Required Knowledge of CA HR Law required. Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $74,400.00 - $109,700. 00 salary. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
