Who You Are

You are a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual with a strong sense of responsibility and discretion. You take pride in maintaining clean and organised spaces and are comfortable working independently within a private home. You understand the importance of cleanliness in supporting health and safety and are respectful of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

  • Must hold a current provisional (P) or full Australian driver's licence
  • Previous experience in residential or disability-related cleaning preferred
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Respectful, discreet, and trustworthy
  • Awareness and sensitivity to working in a home with a person who has autism and complex needs
  • Willing to complete a Police Check if required
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations may be required


What You'll Do

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment, supporting daily hygiene standards and the client's overall wellbeing. While the primary work location is the client's home, there may be instances where cleaning services are required at nearby residences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform general household cleaning duties, including:
    • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping
    • Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
    • Washing, drying, folding, and ironing laundry as required
    • Changing bed linen and maintaining tidy bedrooms
  • Ensure cleanliness of assistive equipment and frequently touched surfaces
  • Maintain a hygienic and organised environment in line with infection control protocols
  • Report any household maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Handle cleaning products safely and store them appropriately
  • Respect the privacy, dignity, and personal space of the client at all times
  • Provide cleaning support at other homes or properties when required
