Summary

Report to the Environmental Services Director for work scheduling Position Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning procedures in accordance with HHS training videos in assigned areas Record work completed on Area Assignment Checklist Police assigned area at the beginning of each shift Respond to Housekeeping pages Perform other tasks as assigned by department Director Able to lift 0 –40 lbs. frequently Essential Functions Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift Capable of lifting furniture and equipment (25 –100 lbs.) frequently Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100lbs) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift Capable of pushing and pulling furniture and equipment (25 –100 lbs.) frequently Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e. bleach, wax, VIREX, etc.) Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even hours as needed per assigned area Must have communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking) Micromop Tools and Equipment Loop mop, if needed Bucket Wringer Vacuum Cart (housekeeping/linen) High Duster Scrubbing pads Putty Knife Cleaning Tasks Clean Daily Restrooms o Sink (inside & outside) o Toilet (inside & outside) o Mirror o Tub/Shower (inside & outside) o Empty trash & replace liner o Mop floor Check Daily o All edges less than 6 ft. o Walls o Water pipes o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) Detail Weekly (as scheduled) o All edges over 6 ft. o Ceiling vents and corners o Door & door frames o Baseboards & corners Check Daily (Replace as needed) o Toilet tissue o Paper towels o Soap dispensers Clean Daily Ancillary Areas o Desks & countertops o Telephones o Empty Trash & replace liner o Mop tile floors o Vacuum carpeted areas o Water fountains Check Daily o All edges less than 6 ft. o Walls o Windows o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) o Furniture & cabinets o Needle boxes (dispose when ¾ full) Detail Weekly (as scheduled) o All edges over 6 ft. o Ceiling vents and corners o Door & door frames o Windows & blinds o Baseboards & corners Check Daily (Replace as needed) o Toilet tissue o Paper towels o Soap dispensers Clean Daily Patient Areas o Contact Items (phone, bed-side table, over bed table, television control, etc.) o Empty trash & replace liners (regular & bio-hazard) o Mop tile floors o Vacuum carpeted areas Check Daily o All edges less than 6 ft. o Walls & windows o Cubicle curtains o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) o Needle boxes (dispose when ¾ full) o Furniture & cabinets Detail Weekly (as scheduled) o All edges over 6 ft. o Ceiling vents and corners o Door & door frames o Windows & blinds o Baseboards & corners Check Daily (Replace as needed) o Toilet tissue o Paper towels o Soap dispensers Report to the Environmental Services Director for work scheduling.
