**_What's the job?_**
The Hot Process Manager will oversee the process engineering activities of the plant, with a focus on batch, binder, furnace, fiberizing, and curing oven operations. This role involves problem-solving and identifying operational issues within the Hot Process Areas, directing process personnel to produce quality products, and collaborating with similar roles within the IPG Group to achieve optimal plant performance. They ensure good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, enforce plant rules, safety regulations, and company policies. They adhere to and ensure adherence to PPE, permits, JSAs, purchasing requirements, vendor agreements, payment policies and safe work practices.
**DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead the development of plant process/improvement roadmaps.
+ Provide technical support for major process issues.
+ Support new product and raw material introduction.
+ Drive process innovation.
+ Provide process expertise to help the plant establish and achieve key process standards.
+ Drive performance improvement through standardization.
+ Work closely with the other two plants and R&D for process support.
+ Collaborate with the Quality Manager to establish robust process control at the site.
+ Maintain awareness of problems, needs, and occurrences within the plant.
+ Interact with other plants and corporate engineering to develop control methods supporting production efforts.
+ Oversee activities including batch, binder, furnace, and fiberizing.
+ Develop and implement action plans for process control and long-term continuous process improvement.
+ Ensure production quality by enforcing process discipline in the hot process areas.
+ Forecast parameters affecting daily operations in the Hot End Process area.
+ Manage the duties and responsibilities of assigned process engineers.
+ Provide training, set goals, and develop methods for measuring performance against those goals.-
+ Handle any process or safety issues that may arise, some on-call responsibilities 24 hours a day.
**_What do you bring?_**
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Ceramic or Material Science Preferred) or similar discipline.
+ Minimum of 10 years of related industrial and manufacturing operations management.
+ Direct Process Management.
+ Experience in Glass making manufacturing.
+ General knowledge of the business in production capabilities, raw material requirements, customer needs and process limitations.
+ Knowledge of troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating solutions at all levels of the organization
+ Strong people development, teaming and collaborative decision-making skills.
+ Displays the confidence needed to face the toughest leadership challenges. Effectively uses power and influence.
+ Effectively communicates goals and interplay of ideas and concepts
+ Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $102,000 to $158,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500.
