Job Overview – Home Health Aide (HHA):
Compensation: $20/hour
Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Become a Home Health Aide (HHA) with our client in Newark, NJ, and serve as a trusted caregiver delivering essential in-home support to patients with varying levels of independence. This role is ideal for compassionate professionals dedicated to assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and emotional support, while promoting comfort, safety, and dignity in a home-based setting.
Responsibilities as the Home Health Aide (HHA):
- Personal Care Assistance: Support with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
- Mobility & Safety: Assist with ambulation, transfers, and basic exercises to promote mobility and prevent falls.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in health status or behavior to nursing supervisors.
- Daily Living Support: Provide feeding assistance, medication reminders, and help with light housekeeping or errands.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Offer social interaction, encouragement, and companionship to promote overall well-being.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures at all times.
Qualifications for the Home Health Aide (HHA):
- Education & Training: Completion of a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) training program.
- Certification: Active New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or caregiving preferred but not required.
- Skills & Attributes: Reliable and compassionate caregiver with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow care plans independently.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes within the region.
