Status: Full-Time Base plus Commission (No Cap) Position Wage: $70K - $150K plus benefits
Job Title: Business Development Manager:
The Business Development Manager, under the direction of the CEO, will be generating and closing leads, tracking referral source development, and running events. A background in sales and marketing is essential, with a strong ability to handle rejection, manage time effectively, and operate independently. The role requires an aggressive, results-oriented individual who can navigate challenges and stay resilient under pressure. Industry experience would be advantageous. Works closely with the HomeWell Administrative team to monitor goals as they pertain to billable hours, numbers of clients, and revenue.
Duties of the Business Development Manager:
- Cultivate relationships with key referral sources and community partners
- Maintain a database of contacts, track sales efforts, and report weekly on activities and results
- Must possess and maintain knowledge and ability to explain home care industry benefits in general and HomeWell's programs in particular
- Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the territory; communicates information to management and others regularly
- Must work well with deadlines and while under pressure in order to overcome obstacles
- Must be able to develop and execute customized marketing plans to jump start or increase referrals from referral targets
- Must be able to organize marketing events and participate in community programs to increase company awareness, recognition and brand development
- Conduct presentations, face-to-face meetings, phone calls, etc., with prospective and current referral sources to share information about HomeWell Care Services
- Understand the level of commitment, dedication, and consistency of networking required in this industry
- Participate in and lead community networking groups related to health and the needs of the elderly population
- Manage and support company's digital marketing strategy and implement innovative marketing tools annually to stay ahead of industry trends
- Generate 150+ new client starts annually from 35-40 referral source visits per week
- Participate in professional development opportunities annually to enhance sales and marketing skills
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:(s)
- 5 years of outside sales experience or a position with similar responsibilities
- Experience working in senior care and/or the healthcare community (home care, home health, hospice, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, etc.)
- Already possessing business relationships with community referral partners is a plus, but not mandatory
- Social Media marketing experience a plus, but not necessary
- Proficiency in English with excellent verbal, written and listening communication abilities
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Proven track record in building relationships that contribute to achieving organizational and revenue goals
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
- Ability to drive to and from a variety of locations in varying weather conditions; valid and compliant license and insurance
- Active listener and effective communicator, and you have excellent interpersonal skills
- Others describe you as confident, friendly and as having a positive attitude
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
