We are currently looking for a HIL Test Engineer to join a 10-week on-site assignment in Sweden, with a strong possibility of extension.

This is a freelance opportunity where you’ll take the lead on verification activities related to complex automotive systems, working across component, subsystem, and full HIL/VIL levels. You'll be part of a highly collaborative team, applying modern tools and methods to ensure software reliability, system integrity, and robust testing outcomes.

Engagement Details:

  • Project length: 10 weeks (with strong possibility of extension)
  • Rate: 600–700 SEK/hour
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: On-site in Sweden
  • Contract type: Freelance / B2B

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate test activities within the Locking Task Force
  • Maintain and update detailed test plans with clear timelines and ownership
  • Analyze logs and measurement data; support root cause investigations
  • Develop and implement verification and validation plans for new software releases
  • Drive effective testing strategies to ensure overall system quality and reliability
  • Conduct structured and exploratory testing across component, subsystem, and complete HIL/VIL levels
  • Troubleshoot issues and support integration efforts
  • Document findings and create clear, actionable test reports

Qualifications:

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge of test strategies and methods
  • Experience with CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer), vTestStudio, ETAS INCA, Lauterbach
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ for test scripting and automation
  • Understanding of ASPICE, exploratory testing, and automotive validation processes
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Gerrit, GitLab, Jenkins, SystemWeaver/CarWeaver, Teamcenter (TCe)
  • Previous hands-on work in HIL/VIL automotive environments
  • Swedish Driver’s License (B)
