Job Description The Maintenance Summer Worker is a seasonal position responsible for supporting the County s maintenance operations through a variety of manual and technical tasks. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, often involving physical labor to support general infrastructure and equipment upkeep. Under the direction of maintenance staff, this worker assists with a range of activities including vegetation control, patching road surfaces, cleaning bridges, performing shop maintenance, and participating in traffic sign installation and replacement. The position plays a key role in keeping public works operations efficient during the busy summer season. In collaboration with other team members, the Maintenance Summer Worker may help fabricate signage, act as a flagger in work zones, and contribute to routine maintenance efforts across highways and county facilities.
