About Unity

Unity is a small, community-based charter school serving grades 6-12. Our high school program emphasizes rigorous academics, character development, and social justice, ensuring all students graduate prepared for college and beyond.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As the Chairperson of the High School Scienceematics Department, you will:

• Lead high-quality Science instruction, ensuring rigorous, engaging, and standards-aligned teaching.
• Develop and manage curriculum to ensure spiraled, college-preparatory coursework.
• Manage and support a team of teachers, fostering growth through coaching and professional development.
• Manage student data systems to drive instructional improvements and enhance student achievement.
• Ensure strong classroom management and collaborate with school leaders to support student success.
  
  

Who We're Looking For

• At least two years of instructional leadership experience.
• A proven track record of student growth and mastery in Science.
• Expertise in curriculum development and assessment design.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and adult management skills.
• Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching practices.
