A Helper Mechanic in a commercial laundry setting assists with the maintenance, repair, and operation of industrial laundry equipment. This role primarily involves assisting with repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with Repairs and Maintenance:
A helper mechanic will assist with routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs on commercial laundry equipment.
Equipment Operation
Operating and maintaining various laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, presses, and conveyors, ensuring they function efficiently.
Part Replacement And Installation
Replacing worn or defective parts, assisting with installation of new equipment, and ensuring proper alignment and adjustment of machinery.
Inspection And Cleaning
Performing routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems, cleaning parts and work areas, and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
Documentation And Reporting
Assisting with the preparation of service reports, documenting repairs, and maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance.
Other Duties
Performing other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with installation, troubleshooting, or general maintenance tasks within the laundry facility.
