Summary

The Town of Wellesley is seeking to hire a full-time (35 hours/week)

Help Desk Technician. Under the general direction of the IT Director,

the Help Desk Technician provides superior customer service to employees

across all levels of Wellesley?s municipal government. You?ll work

directly with users to resolve system problems, configure hardware and

software, and provide systems training. You?ll also assist the IT

Department?s Networking & Cybersecurity and Applications & Data teams

with routine tasks like purchasing, inventory, installation, and access

control. What you?ll need? Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor?s

degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and three

years of relevant experience; and experience with AV equipment or

remote/hybrid meeting technology. The ideal candidate would also have

knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN)

and exposure to modern cybersecurity tools.
