The Heavy Civil Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing heavy civil construction projects, particularly in the areas of water and wastewater. This role will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the specified quality standards while maintaining safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget estimates.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all phases of the project.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns that arise.
- Prepare and present project reports, including financial updates and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management.
- Proven experience in water and wastewater projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
