Your Role – Health and Safety Manager:

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Health and Safety Officer to lead and manage all aspects of workplace health and safety across our operations. This role goes beyond policy – we're seeking a smart, action-oriented professional with a proven track record in handling COR audits, WorkSafeBC claims, JOHSC meetings, and more. You’ll be the key contact for maintaining a safe, compliant, and empowered work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage COR certification processes and ongoing audit compliance.
  • Liaise directly with WorkSafeBC for claims, inspections, and regulatory matters.
  • Conduct site orientations for all new employees and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate and document regular JOHSC (Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee) meetings.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
  • Investigate workplace incidents/accidents and ensure timely reporting and resolution.
  • Stay current with all provincial health and safety legislation and ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Provide safety training and ongoing refreshers through Glen Training School.
  • Work closely with Dispatch, Operations, and Field teams to ensure job-site safety protocols are upheld.


What You Bring:

  • Certified CSO, NCSO, or equivalent credentials (OFA Level 2/3 preferred)
  • Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket
  • Proven experience in the Traffic Control Industry (Minimum 2 years in Health & Safety)
  • Strong working knowledge of COR processes and WorkSafeBC regulations
  • Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant safety management software
  • Ability to work under pressure with flexible availability for weekdays/weekends/shifts
