What you will be doing and why it matters

Our ski business sits as a stand alone unit within the Iglu group, with its own P&L, strategy and experienced team. We’re continuing to grow the capability and are looking for a technology leader who will be able to collaborate and drive our ambitious plans forward. The Ski business was the original ‘brand’ of the Iglu group and still sees itself as a 25 year old startup that needs to move quickly to cater for rapidly changing customer habits and needs.

As Head of Technology for our Ski business, you’ll take full ownership of the Ski tech platform—ensuring its stable, scalable, and ready to support ambitious growth in an increasingly digital-first, e-commerce-driven world. This is a critical role in shaping how technology powers our Ski business, with a focus on delivering seamless, customer-centric online experiences.

You’ll be instrumental in evolving our bespoke booking systems, optimising conversion journeys, and enabling faster, smarter digital operations. Your work will directly impact how customers find, book, and enjoy their ski holidays—driving revenue and improving customer satisfaction.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You’ll balance daily technical delivery with long-term architectural thinking and have a real voice in strategic decisions. Who will I be working with?

  • You’ll be part of the wider Iglu Corp Technology team, supported by and working closely with the Head of Architecture and Director of Engineering, ensuring alignment with the overall tech strategy.
  • You’ll also be a key partner to the Ski Managing Director, working together to define and deliver the digital strategy that powers the business.
  • You’ll have a very close working relationship with the Head of Digital Product & UX designer supporting and enabling crucial parts of the roadmap
  • Expect to collaborate across Product, Commercial, and Marketing teams—helping everyone stay connected through smart, scalable technology.

What you will own

  • Full ownership of the Ski tech platform, from architecture and code quality to delivery pipelines and technical direction.
  • Leadership of the Ski tech roadmap, working with the business to prioritise initiatives and deliver value fast.
  • Hands-on engineering – you’ll be expected to dive into code, mentor developers, and set the standard for technical excellence.
  • You will not be responsible for corporate infrastructure or centralised IT systems—that’s handled by the central IT team.

What we are looking for

  • A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach—you love the bigger picture but aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and ship code.
  • Proactive and self-starting—you spot opportunities, own them, and see them through.
  • Deep experience in building and scaling platforms, ideally in travel, e-commerce, or another complex environment.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
