Role Overview

As Head of Software Engineering, you will lead all software initiatives at Feno, from AI development to frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure and mobile applications. This executive leadership position provides a clear path to C-suite advancement as the organization grows. You'll be responsible for establishing technical vision, building world-class engineering teams, and driving innovation that powers Feno's revolutionary oral health platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the comprehensive software strategy that aligns with Feno's business objectives and growth plans
• Lead and scale multiple engineering teams across AI/ML, mobile, backend, and frontend domains
• Establish a unified software architecture that ensures seamless integration between our AI systems, mobile applications, and connected hardware
• Drive innovation in AI-powered solutions, including image recognition, conversational AI, and real-time analytics
• Build and nurture a collaborative engineering culture focused on excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with executive leadership to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and execution plans
• Represent Feno's technical vision to investors, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Implement best practices for security, compliance, and scalability across all software systems
• Oversee technical resource allocation, budget management, and strategic hiring initiatives
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, etc.) and best practices in data security and privacy
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years in software engineering leadership roles with experience managing diverse technical domains
• Strong track record of building and scaling engineering organizations across AI, mobile, and web platforms
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, architecture patterns, and technology selection
• Experience integrating AI/ML, cloud platforms, and connected hardware in production environments
• Strategic mindset with proven ability to align technical initiatives with business outcomes
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Experience implementing engineering processes that balance innovation, quality, and delivery velocity
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation package of $180,000-$220,000 annually (including equity)
