This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, inspire both students and colleagues, and foster a culture of excellence within our science department.\n\nHead of Science Responsibilities:\n\nLead and manage the Science department, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.\nDevelop and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with national standards and promote the highest standards of academic achievement.\nMentor and support departmental staff, fostering their professional growth and development through effective coaching, feedback, and training opportunities.\nOversee the planning and delivery of engaging and interactive lessons, utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.\nCollaborate with senior leaders and colleagues across the school to promote cross-curricular links and enhance the overall educational experience for students.\nTake responsibility for the effective management of departmental resources, including budgets, equipment, and facilities, to ensure optimal learning outcomes.Qualifications:\n\nUniversity degree and PGCE or equivalent.\nExperience within UK schools is required for candidates holding an overseas teaching degree.\nSome sort of role holding responsibility is preferred, such as deputy of the science department.This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual to lead an already thriving Science department to continued success and innovation.
