DESCRIPTION
Integrated Marketing Systems and Intelligence Tech (IMSTech) is looking for a talented Science and Analytics leader who is interested in delivering end-to-end technology solutions to make Amazon's marketing initiatives more measurable and actionable to enable business growth. In collaboration with product and engineering teams across the US and EU, you will lead strategic science initiatives across XCM and EU Prime & Marketing including the development and deployment of causal measurement models and real-time predictive and optimization tools. This role will lead a team of economists, applied scientists, research scientists, and BIEs to redefine scalable marketing models across customer touchpoints including digital, social, out-of-home, and onsite.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead a cross functional science team in the development of innovative marketing models to understand relevant impacts across a breadth of upper and lower funnel metrics (e.g. Brand Lift, High Value Actions, iE%O, CTR, A2C and conversion modelling).
* Guide senior scientists in scalable methods for creative testing, audience analysis, and performance attribution.
* Design and implement production-ready causal machine learning models to solve complex measurement and optimization challenges.
* Drive experimentation standards for high-frequency messaging, landing page performance, and benefit visibility.
* Own measurement frameworks for evaluating impact of Prime benefits (savings, speed, convenience) on customer decisions.
* Guide applied scientists and BIEs in delivering actionable, scalable insights.
* Partner with PMT and engineering to embed predictive models into reporting and optimization tools.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps and ensure successful project execution.
* Establish scalable mechanisms and technical best practices for the team.
* Lead, mentor, and promote a team of scientists, fostering a culture of customer obsession, innovation, and technical excellence.
* Be a vocal advocate for your team, and science in general, within WW marketing strategy, measurement, and Prime performance reviews.
About the team
Integrated Marketing Systems and Intelligence Tech (IMSTech) team supports the product and technical needs across XCM and EU Prime & Marketing. The organization operates with functional reporting and charter-based execution. This means teams are structured by function (Product, Engineering, Science) but execute against clearly defined charters/problem spaces. Responsibilities are currently geographically aligned: US teams focus on upper funnel marketing, while EU teams own mid/lower funnel and Prime Value initiatives. This structure enables local decision-making, empowering teams to move fast and build tech solutions tailored to regional needs. Although our roadmaps address key problems in their respective regions, most challenges are shared across marketplaces and we launch our tech solutions globally. By combining functional depth with charter-level autonomy, IMSTech drives high-velocity innovation, scalable global solutions, and more effective customer-centric experiences.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
* 10+ years of relevant work experience, with 5+ years experience mentoring and developing science teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Marketing and/or Ad technology experience
* Experience operating in a scaled global organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $196,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $340,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
