We're not in the business of hard-selling — we create spaces for discovery, intimacy, and emotional connection.
As we grow, we’re looking for a Head of Sales to lead this journey across every channel we operate in — with rigour, intuition, and warmth.
About the Role
This role is designed for someone who combines the discipline of structured sales leadership with the sensitivity required to nurture a brand like Mookuthi. You will be responsible for owning our entire sales ecosystem — across our flagship store in Chennai, our online store, remote consultations, and The Mookuthi Show (our travelling pop-up).
You’ll build systems, lead a high-performance team, and ensure that every person who reaches out to Mookuthi receives a meaningful, brand-aligned experience — from enquiry to aftercare.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Ownership & Performance Intelligence
- Take complete ownership of all sales channels — physical, digital, and experiential
- Ensure consistent lead flow across channels; monitor spikes and drops, identify patterns, and act quickly
- Build systems that ensure every lead is documented, nurtured, and followed through — nothing is missed
- Drive long-term improvement in CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Score) through consistency and care
Lead Nurturing & Follow-Through
- Develop frameworks for thoughtful lead nurturing across DMs, website forms, walk-ins, and event interactions
- Ensure all leads are responded to with clarity, timeliness, and tonal elegance
- Guide the team in offering an experience, not just a transaction
Training, Team Building, and Management
- Hire, onboard, and manage a growing team across channels
- Build training modules that teach not just product knowledge, but brand tone and intuitive selling
- Set clear KPIs, offer regular feedback, and coach the team toward both performance and empathy
Consumer Journey & Post-Sale Experience
- Design a seamless pre-sale and post-sale rhythm across channels
- Build thoughtful post-purchase journeys that include follow-ups, styling advice, and feedback loops
- Translate every interaction into a moment of resonance and retention
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the founder and other team leads to bring insights from sales into product, brand, and logistics
- Create dashboards and reports that go beyond numbers — surfacing trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities
- Help scale Mookuthi's reach and impact without compromising its soul
Eligibility Criteria
- 6–10 years of experience leading sales in a luxury, lifestyle, or high-consideration brand
- Proven ability to own and grow multi-channel sales with systems in place for lead management and conversion
- Strong track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring sales teams
- Experience working with CRM tools, Google Sheets, and dashboard/reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead conversations with elegance and depth
- Analytical mindset with the ability to respond to sales trends quickly and effectively
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Chennai; this is an in-person role
- Fluency in English required; Tamil proficiency is a plus
- Bonus: Experience working with founder-led & design-driven businesses
