A rocket ship, brand name alternative asset manager is looking to add an experienced director-level professional to its growing team based out of the fund's Midtown Manhattan office to help scale the Risk Management group. The role will be the first hire with a focus on risk across private equity, debt, and alternative investments. The fund offers a hybrid office structure and compensation is competitive.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess risk across private equity, debt, and alternative investments
• Apply stress testing and analysis to evaluate portfolio performance
• Help with BlackRock Aladdin implementation
• Collaborate with PMs to ensure risk metrics and cash flows are accurate in BlackRock Aladdin
• Test risk calculations across all asset classes
• Ad hoc data analytics as needed
• Work with relevant regulatory agencies and stakeholders

Prerequisites:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Alternative Asset Management, Public Accounting, or Investment Banking
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field(s)
• Experience with SQL and/or Python
• Experience with BlackRock Aladdin is a plus
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset
