Summary

The position will be responsible for developing strategies for identifying and cultivating new donors as well as existing donors, and increasing donor engagement through consistent and effective outreach, projects, appeals and events.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build out and manage a portfolio of donors to secure targeted financial KPIs.
  • Develop acquisition prospect pipeline independently through market research, networking, referrals, events and outreach.
  • Develop strategies and implementation plans to cultivate and solicit donors.
  • Work with Communications team to develop marketing or promotional materials, reports for donors, and consistent social posts to thank donors.
  • Develop retention strategies to boost engagement and continued giving.
  • Prepare and conduct impactful presentations on funding needs to align with donor intent.
  • Develop positive, compelling experiences and communications to donors.
  • Organize engaging donor events and activities.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to Executive Office for review.


Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations or related disciplines.

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years’ relevant experience in philanthropy, communications and public relations. Experience in non-profit organization fundraising is a definite advantage.
  • Experience in conducting donor research and using CRM systems.
  • Have a strategic mindset and demonstrate a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on the organization’s success.
  • Strong in communicating and developing relationships with people at different levels via different channels.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills by prioritizing and managing multiple projects and completing tasks with a high degree of timeliness.
  • Be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative and be a strong team player.
  • Attention to details.
  • Proficient in using social media is an advantage.
  • Capable of handling projects efficiently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Possess a genuine interest in promoting the welfare of all animals.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the positions of Donor Engagement Manager / Assistant Donor Engagement Manager.
