Summary

Termina is how global brands manage their energy accounts and assets in one place. We help businesses save money on energy while reducing admin and emissions.


  • Energy Marketplace: We help businesses find below market prices on their energy and streamline the switching and billing process while helping energy retailers reach more customers. Our goal is to become a one-stop shop for energy retailers to offer their products. 
  • Business Intelligence and Modelling Tools: Our reporting tools help businesses track everything from cost and emissions to the highest ROI energy upgrade across a business that usually takes weeks to months to analyse.


Termina is looking for a Head of Finance to operationalise our finance function and build best in class processes as we scale. Working closely with our founders, you’ll drive transformative growth and unlock new opportunities for the business as we scale.


This is perfect for someone looking to enter the startup space, or for someone who's ready to take the next step in their finance career into a head of finance role.



What You'll Own


  • Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee accounting, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, monitor performance and provide insights.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital: Manage liquidity, receivables and payables
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure tax and regulatory compliance, coordinate audits, and implement controls.
  • Cost Control & Expense Management: Analyse costs, approve transactions and drive efficiency.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Enhance financial systems and streamline processes.
  • Strategic Planning & Decision Support: Advise on investments, capital structure and business strategy.

 


Who you are


  • Get sh#t done: You have a strong bias to action with a track record of achieving results in fast paced and uncertain environments.
  • Strategic Thinker: You can get into the weeds but always track the bigger picture. You have experience building and then executing on a 6-12 month plan. 
  • Analytical approach: You know your way around a spreadsheet and are confident diving into the data to better understand an opportunity.

Qualifications


  • 2-5 years of experience in finance or related role.
  • Great understanding of the Energy, SaaS, or Technology industry (all are not required). 
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Startup/high growth experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in and navigating regulatory challenges is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
