About the Role
Based in our Shanghai office, the Head of Finance, Greater China (GC) leads and drives finance teams in all GC entities, oversees all finance activities, provides professional advice to drive GC's financial situation and is responsible for Statutory accounting for all the businesses.
What you will be doing
Reporting to CFO, APAC, you will be accountable for:
- Providing finance strategy in GC to optimize operational efficiency, optimizing resources, product reporting and metrics in coordination with business, operations, risk and finance situation in GC
- Leading and managing local finance teams for streamlined processes, utilizing automation tools and increasing efficiency gains and cost savings
- Deploying consistency in work process, KPI setting and reporting framework to proper monitor the activities in GC
- Business Controlling functions by supporting Product lines development in GC, by means of MBR, and close monitoring of profitability of each product line
- Cash flow status including cash flow forecast and ICAP management and approval
- Supporting GC and areas on budget and forecasting which is in line with product development and cost optimization in GC
- Financial Controlling by annual audit (internally and externally) with action plans
- Ensuring Balance sheet compliance, Statutory compliance and Legal entity maintenance
- Managing GC Finance operations in Customer credit management
- Overall management in Accounts receivable / overdue issue resolution, work with outsource finance agent in Accounts payable issue resolution
- Managing local finance team in Bank day-to-day relationship management
- Working with APAC and GHO finance team in Global initiatives and projects
- Improving control in risks exposure in projects and ensure healthy margin
The successful applicant
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related major
- At least 15 years working experience in Finance field in multinational environment
- At least 10 years working experience in team management
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills
- Good accounting knowledge (e.g. CHN GAAP, Tax, Subsidies...)
- Strong to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Access required
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skill
- Excellence English skill with both Writing and Speaking
Desirable:
- Master’s degree in related major is a plus
- Familiar with local Finance and Tax policies
- CPA holder is a plus
- Logistics/Forwarding working experience is a plus
- Previous experience with M&A transactions is a plus
