About The Role

The Role

As Head of Engineering at Pump, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing our AI-driven cloud cost optimization platform. You'll lead our engineering team in creating innovative solutions that tackle the complex challenges of cloud spend management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scale our engineering team from 9 to 30+ engineers - hiring, structuring the team to efficiency
  • Drive the development of our AI-powered platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with the founding team to shape and execute the technical vision and strategy, Work closely with product and business teams to align engineering efforts with company goals
  • Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends in cloud computing and AI

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree from a top-tier university in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their applications in cloud optimization
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
  • Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices
  • Previous experience at FAANG or other Tier 1 tech companies is a plus

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 9-15 years of experience (graduated between 2010-2015), managed a team of at least 15 people in the past.
  • Experience as a CTO or leadership role in a company with $30M+ ARR
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, having started & exited a company in the past is a plus.
  • Strong backend and infrastructure expertise, with experience building end-to-end products used by 1000+ customers (Series A+ companies)
  • Extremely data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Consumer background with a strong product focus
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure and cloud related technologies

Compensation

$180,000 - $300,000 USD
