Position: Head-of-Engineering / Founding Engineer

We’re building a deep-tech solution to revolutionize online fashion shopping through hyper-personalized virtual try-ons. Our goal is to empower customers to confidently visualize how garments will fit their real bodies, thereby reducing returns, improving conversions, and creating a more sustainable commerce ecosystem.

We're backed by early interest from top-tier VCs and angels, have PhD-level talent contributing to the ML core, and have already validated the need through our prior experience scaling a full-stack checkout/post-checkout platform to over 1,000+ D2C brands and multi-million ARR in under two years.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable, and secure systems to support our virtual try-on engine across web and mobile
• Lead the development of computer vision/ML models for body modeling, fitment simulation, and personalization
• Define and evolve our tech stack, development practices, and infrastructure choices
• Collaborate closely with the founder and design/research teams to prioritize features and deliver working software quickly
• Participate in customer interviews and brand meetings to understand product-market fit at a technical level
• Establish and foster an engineering culture that values speed, ownership, experimentation, and humility
• Build and mentor a small, high-agency engineering team from scratch

🧠 Qualifications

• ~5–8 years of experience building production-grade full-stack systems (e.g., React, Node.js, Python)
• Proven experience deploying and scaling ML models in production (ideally in computer vision or personalization)
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience (or a strong willingness) to work in early-stage, fast-paced startup environments
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new tools or technologies—bonus if you've recently explored LLMs, agentic AI, or edge-based CV
• Enthusiasm for building products from 0→1, embracing ambiguity, and having fun while doing it

• Experience with 3D modeling, body scan reconstruction, or digital avatars
• Contributions to open-source, indie products, or side projects that show initiative and creativity
• Exposure to the fashion, e-commerce, or fitment tech ecosystem
