About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced electrical engineering leader to help shape the future of cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will be a visionary builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can oversee the development of advanced electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical technology, guiding the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Create and maintain engineering requirements, oversee schematic design, PCB layout, and ensure quality control through debugging and testing.
  • Build and lead high-performance engineering teams, and drive the development process through collaboration with production teams.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation, including test procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Manage engineering projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to high standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Altium Designer, embedded programming (especially with STM platforms), and bare-metal (C) programming.
  • Leverage your expertise in lab instrumentation (e.g., Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs) to ensure the highest quality of product testing.
  • Apply automated testing methods to streamline and improve production workflows.
  • Perform SMT soldering and PCB modifications as necessary.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. top-secret security clearance.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with analog video systems (e.g., CVBS, PAL, NTSC).
  • Familiarity with digital video systems (e.g., MIPI-CSI).
  • Experience in camera design and BLDC motor drivers.
  • Knowledge of RF communications, DSP, and FPGAs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in LoRa and antenna/RF routing technologies.
  • Experience in UAV electronics design (e.g., PX4, Ardupilot).
  • Experience with controls (e.g., PID controllers) is highly desirable.


Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally within a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to secure top-secret security clearance.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and systems.


Compensation

  • Salary: $173k - $246k
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.


On-Site Work Policy

  • This position is in-person at the El Segundo, CA office. No hybrid work option.
