Scope of the Role:
The Head of Compliance will lead Coupang Taiwan's compliance function, developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program encompassing all aspects of the business. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational and risk management skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
What will you do:
The Head of Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of Coupang Taiwan's compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role requires collaboration with diverse teams and a proactive approach to risk management.
Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy addressing potential risks across various areas, including Product Safety, Food Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Trade Compliance, and HR Compliance.
Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring that processes and controls are in place to maintain compliance.
Identify, document, and ensure all applicable compliance requirements are addressed in existing compliance programs.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand business processes and compliance risks, designing and implementing programs to mitigate those risks.
Regularly review, update, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring adherence across the organization (employees, sellers, suppliers, etc.).
Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of compliance excellence.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Develop and deliver training programs on EHS, product safety, food safety, and other relevant compliance areas to internal and external stakeholders (employees, sellers, suppliers).
Develop and implement an audit strategy to conduct regular audits across departments and facilities, tracking issues and ensuring timely remediation.
Collaborate with the central investigations team to address any compliance-related concerns.
Work closely with Legal, Operations, Customer Support, and HQ Compliance teams.
Develop and implement an Anti-Fraud Monitoring and Trust & Safety strategic roadmap.
Oversee Trade Compliance audit procedures.
