About The Role:

The Head of Admissions, who report directly to the Director of Admissions, plays a vital role in contributing to the success of RD American School's growth plan. This dynamic position will focus on developing innovative recruitment strategies that not only boost enrollment but also enrich the experience for prospective students and their families. By working hand in hand with school leadership, faculty, and community partners, the Head of Admissions will ensure that every family have a smooth and welcoming journey. We're looking for a strategic leader who embraces data-driven decisions and fosters collaboration among all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:


Admissions & Enrolment Support

  • Oversee the admissions process from initial inquiry through enrolment, ensuring prospective families receive timely and helpful communication.
  • Provide accurate and friendly responses to admissions inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Help to coordinate and conduct family visits, school tours, and admissions events.
  • Support the processing and review of applicant files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule and facilitate interviews and admissions assessments.
  • Communicate admissions decisions to families in collaboration with school leadership.
  • Help manage re-enrolment efforts and retention initiatives.
  • Maintain and update admissions databases and records to ensure accurate tracking of applicants.


Marketing & Outreach

  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to support admissions-related materials, social media content, and outreach initiatives.
  • Represent the school at open houses, fairs, and community events to engage prospective families and business partners.
  • Assist in executing recruitment campaigns to attract mission-aligned students.


Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate documentation of admissions decisions and student enrolment statistics.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to support seamless communication of admissions priorities.
  • Stay informed about trends in international and private school admissions to provide insights and recommendations.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in admissions, enrolment management, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of international and/or American education systems is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse school constituents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and warmth.
  • Strong technology and database management skills.
  • Multicultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in an international setting.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
