Summary

JOB DESCRIPTIONS


Corporate Development (Non-Financial Scope)

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and market development initiatives aligned with the company’s long term growth agenda.
  • Prepare strategic papers, commercial proposals and collaboration frameworks in coordination with legal, technical and finance teams (excluding financial modelling and funding activities).
  • Lead the structuring and negotiation of non-financial terms in joint development agreements, memoranda of understanding and partnership term sheets.


Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key external stakeholders, including government ministries, regulatory agencies (e.g. EC, TNB, SEDA, MIDA) GLCs, investors, and business partners.
  • Represent the company in public-private working groups, strategic industry dialogues and regulatory engagements.
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of key stakeholder meetings, briefings and site visits.


Strategic Planning & Governance

  • Lead the preparation of the company’s annual business plan and operational targets in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate the development and consolidation of the division’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with the Group’s financial planning and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and business milestones to support internal tracking and continuous improvement.


Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation

  • Drive the implementation and integration of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to enhance project tracking, business operations and resource utilization.
  • Ensure ERP modules are aligned with the needs of business development, stakeholder management, project coordination and reporting functions.
  • Serve as the division lead for ERP system configuration, user adoption and optimization in collaboration with the Group’s IT and finance functions.


Group-Level Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of monthly reports on corporate development progress, stakeholder engagement outcomes, and strategic initiatives for submission to Citaglobal Berhad.
  • Coordinate inputs across departments to ensure accuracy, consistency and timely delivery of updates to Group Management.


Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other divisions including Strategy, Legal, Technical, Finance and Project Development to ensure effective alignment and execution of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support the CEO in strategic decision-making, executive communications and Group coordination efforts.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Public Policy or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree, MBA, or professional certification in corporate strategy, project management, or stakeholder relations is an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in business development, stakeholder engagement or strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors, particularly in the context of government linked and regulated industries.
  • Experiencing leading ERP system implementation and business planning exercises in a project-based organization is preferred.
