JOB DESCRIPTION
The Technical Project Manager, who will report to the Vice President, Enterprise Technology Business and Strategy, will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects related to the organization's digital learning and community engagement platform. This includes managing the development of a mobile app, deployment of generative AI-based student success tools, and the establishment of a modern data infrastructure (e.g. AWS-based Data Lake) integrated with key campus systems (e.g. Student Information Systems). The TPM will lead the strategic planning process to ensure that all relevant requirements are captured; assemble a team of resources (both internally and contractors) to assign tasks; monitor the assigned tasks and measure their progress along with any risks discovered to ensure no omissions in requirements; and meet deliverable expectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Facilitation of information system-specific projects that involve mobile application development, artificial intelligence integration, and infrastructure environment build-out
Delivery by service teams for technology-based outsourced solutions
Plans and coordinates infrastructure technical projects from initiation through delivery
Ensures requirements for internal infrastructure technology projects align to operational standards
Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects for the HBCUv Network Services team from initiation through delivery
Manage digital project deadlines, timelines, and workflow
Serve as the information hub on all aspects of HBCUv projects, keep team members updated as necessary
Manage day-to-day workflow and prioritize lists for digital development and design team
Project Planning: Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, managing project budgets and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
Team Coordination: Lead functional teams, facilitating communication between developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all technical projects meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment throughout the project lifecycle and timely completion of all project tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or similar certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on educational technology projects.
Demonstrated experience managing the development of mobile applications and AI-based tools.
Strong understanding of data infrastructure and integration with campus systems.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $78,000.00 To $92,000.00 per year (Salary is commensurate with experience.) This is a hybrid role: 4 days on-site and 1-day remote per week. (The salary range is based on the value of the position in the Washington, DC Metro Area and may be adjusted up or down according to the position's value in other locations).
