This position is responsible to provide operational support in mitigation efforts for clients. Qualified candidates must possess ability to perform tasks related to Emergency Haz Mat situations and will be required to use a variety of specialized equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities
Work with the Environmental Emergency Response Teams, Transportation, Fixed Facility and Site Remediation Projects
Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans, or other materials/instructions
Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed, including, but not limited to, safe lifting, personal protective equipment, and chemical labeling
Proactively communicate issues and problems that may or are affecting completion of the job to the responsible Project Manager.
Learn and understand MSDS protocols for chemicals used during mitigation processes
Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Must maintain attention to detail
Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.
Decontaminate equipment or sites to remove hazardous or toxic substances.
Prepare hazardous waste for processing or disposal.
Use of proper lifting techniques, use of slide pads, use of Styrofoam blocks, care and protection of customer personal belongings
Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested as travel periodically
Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
Requirements
Respond in a timely manner to emergency spills and environmental cleanup situations
Interact with emergency services including but not limited to first, local and state police, EMS and regulatory agencies.
Train employees as required on job techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
Conduct a fit test the first day of the week and on the first day of a new job for all employees who are required to wear respirators.
Record mileage as required and download time records every evening.
Document all work completed on the job each day along with the materials/equipment used on the job on a Daily Job Report.* Additional other duties as required
Qualifications
Must be able to identify Product (consumables), usage and disposal requirements with training
Must have current Hazardous Waste Certification
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
English language literacy and fluency
Physical Demands
Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs
Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
Access and mobility in tight spaces
Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
Ability to use mobile devices for collection of data and time.
