*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Hardware Transition Engineer position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Chicago, IL (onsite Tues-Thurs, WFH Mon & Fri). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing hands-on user support by troubleshooting hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers.
• Configuring workstations for new users and upgrading existing equipment and software.
• Setting up and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
• Troubleshooting LAN, server, and connectivity issues.
• Utilizing the ticketing system, when necessary.
• Re-imaging computers, performing data migrations and restorations, and conducting remote problem-solving as needed.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Experience in desktop and laptop hardware support.
• Working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and strong software experience.
• Proficiency in configuring workstations and upgrading systems.
• Experience with network and telecommunication systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN, server, and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
• Experience with data migration, restoration, and remote problem-solving.
• Solid understanding of hardware components and configurations.

Pay Range: $24-$29/hr

• Parking is $20/day when working on-site and will be paid by the employee. The pay range has been adjusted to account for this cost.
