Piper Companies is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to work on-site in Morrisville, NC Monday through Friday. The ideal Hardware Design Engineer has extensive experience in digital board design for telecommunications products, focusing on PCB-level design and system integration.
Responsibilities of the Hardware Design Engineer:
* Lead the digital board design and development of hardware components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
* Participate in all stages of hardware development, from definition and design to qualification and product release.
* Oversee the entire board processing and manufacturing lifecycle, from prototyping to mass production.
* Use Cadence Concept, Allegro, and Orcad for schematic capture.
* Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications of the Hardware Design Engineer:
* 5+ years' experience in digital circuit board design and system-level development, with a focus on high reliability products
* Skilled in using Cadence Concept, Allegro, and OrCAD for schematic capture
* Proficiency with test and debug tools such as telecom traffic generators, logic analyzers, signal analyzers and oscilloscopes
* BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
* Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Hardware Design Engineer:
* Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually.
