DG specializes in the design and development of intelligent software and hardware protocol interface devices for the in-vehicle and controller area network markets. DG is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer that will be responsible for the design and development of various embedded systems, including both hardware and some firmware design. The engineer will have a detailed knowledge of the product functional specification, will conduct design reviews, and resolve product design issues. The candidate should have 5+ years of engineering work experience and an understanding of embedded hardware and software design. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Developing/reviewing project work plans  Generate functional specifications based on product requirements  Generate design specifications  Resolve issues found during the product development cycle  Participate in design reviews To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:  Embedded hardware and software design  Working understanding of CAN and LIN vehicle networks  Knowledge of embedded RTOS and / or Embedded Linux systems  Experience with embedded systems debugging (JTAG/UART/Oscilloscopes/Logic Analyzers)  Experience with electronics CAD systems (Altium experience a plus)  PCB design of complex multi-layer circuit boards  Github experience required  Familiarity with CAN analysis software  Proficient in Microsoft Office products  Friendly and flexible team player  Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.  2+ years of experience in embedded hardware and/or software design  2+ years of vehicle network (CAN/LIN) experience
