Summary

The Hardware Asset Specialist is responsible for the monitoring and tracking of IT assets through their entire lifecycle, as well as the coordination of the company established procedures for each phase of that lifecycle. Working in close coordination with technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Finance & Accounting, Procurement, Service Desk), the Hardware Asset Specialist establishes, enforces, monitors, and continuously improves asset management processes, standards, and controls. The combination of attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders allows this individual to ensure the efficient and effective use of IT asset towards sustainable growth in alignment with our strategy and business objectives.


Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain IT asset management procedures and guidelines to ensure adherence to ITIL best practices.
  • Participate in a monthly physical inventory of computers in the local office as well as various quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inventories of other assets.
  • Utilize usage and access reports to participate in the search and retrieval of missing computers.
  • Produce reporting out of the IT inventory System as required.
  • Coordinate with IT Leadership, Procurement and Finance to optimize costs and budgeting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.


Education Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree


Experience Qualifications

  • Required 1+ years Proven experience with ServiceNow, including asset management and reporting.
  • Required 3+ years Asset Management experience or equivalent experience required
  • Required Advanced knowledge of IT asset management principles / practices.

  • Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to gain alignment with different clients and represent a common point of view across multiple stakeholders. Must be confident building business partnerships with various business leaders.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging with team members and clients to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Understanding IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles is crucial
  • Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions about asset utilization and optimization
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to move around physical hardware in multiple stockrooms
