About the role
As Growth Product Manager at Shiftbase, you will be key to our rapid growth and scalability. You will ensure that our platform provides undeniable value for every user, from their first interaction to the ultimate “aha” moment, and every action they need to take on a daily basis. You will create a seamless and personalized user experience that not only increases engagement but also reduces churn and turns users into ambassadors.
You will focus on fully optimizing the user journey, from initial onboarding, during their daily usage, to reactivating inactive users. Through smart automation and intuitive segmentation, you will ensure every interaction is relevant and continually helps the user progress. You will transform Shiftbase into a platform that not only streamlines the user’s workflow but becomes a proactive assistant that aids decision-making, saves time, and improves performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Aha-moment orchestrator: Guide every user effortlessly and quickly to their first valuable experience with Shiftbase, the moment our platform makes a difference in their work processes. By creating these early successes, you’ll build long-term engagement and increase customer satisfaction.
- Top-notch customer journeys: In collaboration with your activation team, you will develop a seamless, integrated customer journey both within and outside the platform. Every interaction should feel logical and always move the user forward.
- Becoming the go-to assistant: You're not just focused on initial onboarding and time-to-value - you'll transform Shiftbase into a proactive assistant that streamlines daily work by delivering smart, timely actionable insights to drive user success.
- Product strategy and execution: Develop a robust product vision and strategy, translating this into concrete, measurable deliverables. You’ll take full ownership of the roadmap and process, from discovery to go-live, including technical alignment with engineering, positioning with product marketing, and success measurement with data teams.
- Data and customer insights: Combine in-depth customer insights with hard data (such as activation rates, funnel metrics, churn predictors, etc.) to continuously improve the user experience. Using A/B testing and cohort analysis, you’ll run evidence-based experiments that drive sustainable impact.
As a Growth Product Manager, you’ll seamlessly navigate between strategic and operational tasks. You will not only develop the Growth product vision and strategy but actively contribute to the execution of experiments and predictable delivery of valuable Growth features. You will lay the foundation for, and work closely with all disciplines within Shiftbase, to gradually transform the platform into the proactive SaaS workforce assistant for every client—now and in the future.
Who you are
- Curious & data-driven: You make decisions based on insights, not assumptions. You combine customer interviews with deep analytics (activation rates, funnel metrics, churn signals) and set up evidence-based experiments.
- Commercially-minded: You see Growth & Lifecycle management as a growth engine, not just a tool for user engagement.
- Proactive & hands-on: You take initiative, act swiftly, and get things done.
- Excellent communicator: You craft compelling product UX flows and therefore you work effectively with diverse teams and disciplines to develop in-platform experiences that support lifecycle marketing efforts.
- Tech-savvy: You are comfortable with automation tools and building scalable systems. You’re interested in applying AI at the product level.
- Customer-focused: You understand how to tailor engagement strategies to different user segments. You recognize that each user has a unique journey and know how to optimize it effectively.
Required skills & experience:
Required skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product management within a subscription-based SaaS environment, ideally in companies combining Product-Led Growth (PLG) and Sales-Led strategies.
- Experience delivering outstanding user experiences for new features and upgrading existing product experiences to improve usability, engagement, adoption, and customer success.
- Proven successes in growth, (re)activation, retention, and related topics.
- Data-driven decision-maker- ability to analyze, experiment, and optimize based on evidence.
- Strategic & practical balance- able to design high-level strategies and execute them hands-on.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience - working closely with product design, engineering, product- and lifecycle marketing, sales, and customer success teams to improve both in-app and external customer experiences.
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of growth loops, onboarding strategies, and segmentation frameworks.
- Experience with automation and analytics tools (e.g., Customer.io, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
- Strong affinity for AI applications and proactive in-platform user assistance.
- Experience aligning marketing initiatives with pricing and packaging strategies.
