About the Role

We're looking for a talented Growth Marketing Manager to lead and scale our customer messaging, performance marketing, and user acquisition strategy. This role will own marketing automation through Braze (or similar platforms), while also overseeing Spruce’s paid ad campaigns, organic social, and full-funnel growth initiatives.


This role is in office 2-3x per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and optimize Spruce's email and lifecycle messaging strategy through Braze (or similar), including campaign creation, user segmentation, triggered workflows, and testing.
  • Oversee the execution and performance of paid ad campaigns across channels including Meta, Google, and TikTok—partnering with agencies and freelancers to scale.
  • Manage and grow Spruce’s organic social media presence, including strategy, content planning, and engagement.
  • Build and manage cross-channel campaign calendars that drive acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Use data to drive decision-making—analyzing user behavior and performance trends across channels to surface growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to ensure consistency and performance across all user-facing messaging and experiences.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and execute high-impact growth initiatives across the customer funnel.


What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or performance marketing, with a strong track record of driving measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with Braze or a similar customer engagement platform.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, customer segmentation, and lifecycle campaign architecture.
  • Experience managing paid media campaigns, either in-platform or in partnership with agencies.
  • Familiarity with organic social best practices and content strategy.
  • A data-driven mindset—fluent in analytics tools like Mixpanel, Looker, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, startup environment.

  • Startup or marketplace experience
  • Experience with multi-channel growth strategies (email, paid, social, SMS, in-app)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, product, and engineering teams
