Job description:

This position requires a strategic thinker responsible for identifying and mitigating risk for the organization through strategies that align with Andritz financial objectives, core values and culture. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to proactively manage complex claims and negotiations are critical. Responsibilities include the purchase/renewal of insurance policies, coverage analysis, claims management, risk management and contract review.

 We are working in a hybrid model in Alpharetta, GA.  In the office Tues, Wed, Thur and working from home Monday and Friday.

Liability Insurance Line Management

Annually renew and place master general and professional liability policies globally. Coordinate and place local and project policies when necessary. Collaborate with brokers, insurers, consultants, and team to ensure policies meet the business needs. Must have a deep understanding of policy language and coverage. Manage complex global liability claims, communicate strategy between defense team and insurer to maximize coverage.

 

Third Party Insurance Line Management

Annually renew and place different third-party insurance policies. Collaborate with IT, brokers, and internal team to ensure policy meets business needs. Must be able to strategically oversee underwriting process.

 

Risk Management

Responsible for analyzing loss data, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention, updating, and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures and processes for lines of insurance managed.

 

Contract Review

Review customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to analyze, edit and negotiate provisions to comply with Andritz master insurance program and consistent with Andritz sales contract approval policy.

 

 

M&A

When required solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers and make recommendations to the M&A team. Facilitate reps and warranties insurance underwriting, review policy language and guide due diligence process with insurer. Integrate new companies including gap analysis.

 

Business Support

Support Andritz business through training on all insurance related topics and responding to insurance related questions.

 

 Qualification Requirements 

• Completed academic education as a lawyer (common law preferred)
• At least 10 years working experience for an insurance company, insurance department of an international company, international insurance broker or law firm.
• Deep understanding of third-party liability, insured litigation and insurance market.
• Comfort and ability to work in a global setting. 25% international travel.
