We are looking for an Enthusiastic Group Head of Accounts for one of our clients in UAE - Dubai. Candidates who have experience handling the Accounts of Big Family Group within UAE will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities;

• Manage and monitor company’s financial control activities which include accounts receivable/payable, fixed asset accounting, project and cost accounting, payroll and general ledger
• Ensure timely preparation of Annual Budget for each business unit and location working with the business unit heads and COO
• Ensure adherence to the allocated budgets and timely and accurate preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and all other accounting records
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries and other payments
• Prepare and analyse financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
• Maintain credit control procedures and associated reports including aged debtor reports
• Review and approve costing and variances reports
• Develop and ensure the implementation of internal control systems
• Monitor accounting masters such as creation of new accounts, deletion of accounts etc.
• Monitor preparation of periodic MIS and analyse MIS reports and present to Executive board
• Ensure timely preparation of reports as required for the Board Meeting and attend the Board Meeting as required
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures
• Issue timely and complete financial statements under IFRS
• Compliance to VAT and Corporate Tax regulations and filing of returns as required
• Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws
• Evaluate current accounting practices and policies and drives continuous improvement
• Coordinate monthly financial accounting closing process
• Develop and implement various accounting procedures
• Interact with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
• Manage day-to-day financial activities including transactions, processes, reporting and systems and ensure they are up to date and compliant with corporate policies and procedures
• Develop and implement financial policies, processes and procedures governing financial controls including control mechanisms and billing and collections policies
• Lead, coach and manage the performance of staff in line with good people management practices

Job Requirement;

• Master's degree in finance or accounting.
• Chartered accountant is a must preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in handling accounting division for large companies.
• Candidate must have experience working in Senior Role with a large Group or a Large Family Business within UAE.
