The Role
As the Group Conference & Events Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of group bookings, private events, meetings, conferences, and special events. You’ll support the sales manager and handle the day-to-day inbound enquires, planning through to execution, while ensuring every department in the Hotel is setup for success with conferencing and events.
Responsibilities Include
Support the Sales Manager for all group, conference, and event clients from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up
Work with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and logistical requirements
Proactively work with all internal departments (e.g., front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchen, maintenance) to ensure smooth and coordinated event delivery
Oversee room block allocations, seating plans, meeting room setups, menu selections, and event-specific requirements
Accurately maintain all booking information, contracts, and communications in the hotel’s event management systems
Track event revenue, manage billing schedules, and follow up on deposits and final payments
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in event coordination or sales within a hotel or hospitality environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems; experience with Guest line is preferred
