Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gardening and landscaping, with a strong understanding of lawn care practices, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance. Experience with GIS technology and bucket truck operations is a plus. Responsibilities Perform routine lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and fertilization to ensure healthy growth. Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, and mulching to enhance the visual appeal of the grounds. Utilize GIS tools to assist in planning and managing landscape projects effectively. Operate bucket trucks safely for tree trimming and other elevated maintenance tasks. Maintain equipment used for grounds maintenance, ensuring it is in good working condition. Assist in the design and implementation of new garden areas or landscape features. Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues that may require attention or intervention. Qualifications Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred. Knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree trimming methods, and landscape maintenance practices. Familiarity with GIS technology is a nice-to-have skill that will enhance project management capabilities. Ability to operate a bucket truck and other landscaping equipment safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
