Role Type: 24 Month Fixed Term Contract - Graduate Level Role
Starting Salary: £27,500 increasing to £30,000 by end of two-year period depending on performance and reviewed every 6 months
Hybrid working - 3 days in South Wigston, HQ and 2 days at home
Interview Dates: One-stage, 90 minute interview, on 26th/27th February in person

Purpose of Role
The Graduate Contracts Manager is a new role for the business and will serve as an important member of the Legal Team which is responsible for providing legal advice and support across all areas of the business sitting within the Finance, Compliance and Legal Team. Reporting to the Head of Legal, we are looking for an exemplary candidate who embraces a curiosity-driven, business enabling mindset and will assist the business in the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts. Your primary focus will be populating commercial agreements in support of the business such as customer sales agreements, product supplier purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements and fielding ad-hoc contract queries. However, you will also have the opportunity to support the business on IP matters, real estate and indirect procurement contracts with appropriate supervision.
Role Responsibilities
- Generating commercial agreements from standard approved templates;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating (with appropriate supervision) a variety of product and services sales and supplier contracts ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with the business contract playbook;
- Liaising with sales and supplier team members to advise on contracting processes, status and facilitating contract execution;
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business with a proactive and solution-focussed mindset;
- Supporting continuous improvement by implementing new processes, document templates, playbooks and training materials to increase efficiency.
- Assist the Head of Legal with key business projects and initiatives as and when needed;
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Graduate of a University Degree in any discipline although Law LLB Hons preferable;
- Experience of office work/administrative functions;
- A good understanding of commercial contracts, legal language and risk management within the sales industry;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work proactively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Detail orientated with exceptional organisational, time management and analytical skills;
- Commercial acumen and the willingness to learn more about the business industry sector;
- Ability to prioritise workload and prioritise projects to meet business deadlines;
- A team player with ability to learn and advance in the role taking initiative to learn about the business and its key customers
